Confidential International and Domestic Recoveries

Any concealed asset recovery operation must be conducted on a confidential yet swift basis that minimizes the risk of further asset diversion. When a debtor is deliberately trying to hide assets or put them beyond the reach of the creditor, the creditor has the right to seek relief and discovery through various ex parte applications designed to either locate the hidden wealth or obtain discovery to further the process. In most complex, multi-jurisdictional asset recovery cases, the victim can seek the assistance of the judicial process to pursue a rightful claim. Under the right circumstances, ex parte orders can also be obtained under seal. Withholding that information from the debtor minimizes any further dissipation of the assets.
