IPSA INTERNATIONAL NAMES ALBERTO DE LA PORTILLA MANAGING DIRECTOR FOR THE MIAMI / LATIN AMERICA OFFICE
Miami, FL, October 27, 2004 – IPSA International, Inc., a leading investigative consulting firm, announced today that Alberto de la Portilla has been named Managing Director of the Miami/Latin America office. He will report to Craig N. Chretien, Vice President International Operations of IPSA.
Mr. de la Portilla is an 11-year veteran in the corporate investigations and risk mitigation industry. He joined IPSA International in 2001 and has held several senior positions in the company, most recently as the Senior Director of Operations. “Alberto’s experience in Latin America, especially in the area of cross-border due diligence, is ideal for continuing IPSA’s growth in the region”, said Mr. Chretien.
Prior to joining IPSA, Alberto spent seven years with Kroll Associates, where he headed the Latin American and Caribbean Investigative Research Department and managed the collection and analysis of strategic business information throughout the region for several Fortune 500 companies. Additionally, Alberto assisted on several high-level projects providing critical background information for a variety of clients, from venture capital firms seeking investments in Mexico City to Indian gaming operations requesting internal fraud detection analysis.
Mr. de la Portilla earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Florida International University. He is a member of the Society of Competitive Intelligence Professionals and the Investigative Reporters and Editors Association.
