Former FBI Special Agent Stuart Silver Joins IPSA International as Director of Investigations for the Atlanta Office
ATLANTA, GA, May 6, 2003 - IPSA International, Inc., a leading risk consulting firm announced today that Stuart B. Silver has joined the Atlanta office as Director of Investigations. He will report to Jim Beary, Managing Director of the Atlanta office. Prior to joining IPSA, Mr. Silver, 51, was a Supervisory Special Agent in the Atlanta office of the Federal Bureau of Investigation. Before joining the FBI, he was a criminal investigator at the U.S. Immigration and Naturalization Service.
Mr. Silver, a 23-year veteran at the FBI, has extensive experience handling complex investigations in the areas of industrial security, health care and government fraud, foreign counter intelligence, terrorism, interstate theft and government reservation crime, among others.
While serving as Supervisory Special Agent for the FBI's Atlanta office, Mr. Silver developed the health care fraud program into one of the more successful operations at the Bureau. The squad he supervised conducted investigations that led to the conviction of a number of health care providers. For example, he played a key role in the successful investigation and prosecution of a significant portion of the Columbia/HCA case.
While at the FBI, Mr., Silver gave presentations to a number of groups concerning the FBI's role in the investigation of health care fraud. He also worked closely with the Georgia Secretary of State to help enact HB 532, a law which will result in the suspension of professional licensure for those persons in Georgia who default on federally sponsored educational loans.
"Stuart has had a distinguished career at the FBI and will be a tremendous asset to our growing roster of clients," said Mr. Beary. "We are delighted to have him join the IPSA team and look forward to working with him as we expand our presence in the Southeast region."
